Hello friends! I’d like to introduce you to a new up and coming company my husband is starting. It is called btl optical, inspired by finding a way to utilize all the plastic waste we currently deal with. They are starting to make high quality sunglasses out of recycled materials. The idea came originally with the thought of using plastic bottles to make sunglass frames, so they came up with the name “btl”. After some experimentation and playing around with materials in the lab, btl has come up with a sustainable way to manufacture sunglasses with frames made out of 100% recycled materials. Additionally, the lenses and hinges they will be using are from top manufacturers. They are also going to be manufacturing and assembling right here in Los Angeles, CA.
To gain enough money to start upscaling production, btl has launched a project on kickstarter. They need your support to bring this product to market. In doing so you will be supporting an environmentally-friendly, locally-made, high-quality product! Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I would also appreciate anyone who desires to re-blog this.
The project on kickstarter may be found here.
